JOB DESCRIPTION – BUSINESS ANALYST II
Position Title:Business Analyst II
FLSA Status:Exempt
Covered/Uncovered:Uncovered
Salary: $60,000 to $65,000 (Depending on Experience)

SUMMARY
The Business Analyst II is primarily responsible for supporting court-wide staff in the use of the court’s case management system and related applications and ensuring that the business needs of all departments within the court are represented and supported in software development, design, and deployment efforts.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Two (2) years of experience performing business application support or business process analysis.
• Bachelor of Science
• Job-related work experience may substitute for educational qualifications on a year-for-year basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and responsibilities are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all required responsibilities, duties, and skills. To perform this job successfully, a Business Analyst II must perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Provide first-tier support for the court’s case management system and related applications, both in-person and remotely.
• Identify and implement configuration changes to the case management system based on evolving business needs, policies, rules, or statutes.
• Translate business needs into business requirements that can be used for technical development.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on system capabilities and limitations during cross-departmental initiatives.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, testing, and deployment support.
• Create, maintain, and execute regression, functional, and user acceptance test cases.
• Provide training to internal and external stakeholders on new releases and system updates.
• Create training documentation and reference materials for use by court employees and the public.
• Analyze current workflows and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency and user experience.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy across systems through regular audits.
• Thoroughly document and track configuration changes, enhancement requests, bugs, and other defects in case management system and integrated applications.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist the court operations team with orienting new employees to the court case management system and related business applications.
• Verify monetary deposits as needed.
• Assist with case processing as needed
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for delivering training, creating documentation, and collaborating across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a dynamic court environment.
• Understanding court case management systems and their configuration, functionality, and integration with related applications.
• Ability to translate operational needs into clear business requirements for system enhancements or development.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as a member of a team.
• Ability to interact professionally with court personnel at all levels of the organization.
• Experience with relational databases and business intelligence/reporting tools.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system issues, or escalate them appropriately when necessary.
• Excellent reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make decisions independently using critical thinking and professional judgment.
• Proficiency in using tools such as Microsoft Teams for meetings, collaboration, and communication.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, REASONING ABILITY, AND EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out oral or written instructions.
• Extended use of a computer is required.
• Ability to read, scan, complete, and analyze a variety of issues on a regular basis.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will encounter a typical office setting with frequent contact with employees from all levels within the organization, including, Deputy Clerks, Staff Attorneys, administrative staff, judges, and judicial staff. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

• This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.
