The Business Planning Analyst (Revenue Assurance) is responsible for managing financial records, preparing, and analyzing financial statements, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and overseeing day-today tasks. This role involves maintaining accurate financial data, reconciling accounts, preparing budgets and forecasts, and collaborating with internal teams to provide financial insights that drive strategic decisions. Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles are essential for success in this role. This position has the ability to make positive financial contributions to the company by discovering cost saving opportunities and ensure a standard high level of reporting integrity.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Build a strong understanding of business processes and data relationships necessary to understand a business need, analyze related data, and deliver reporting that provides key insights used in decision making.
  • Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support decision making.
  • Analyze financial performance and prepare detailed reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve financial outcomes.
  • Assist in strategic planning and provide data -driven insights for business initiatives.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and account adjustments.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and align strategies.
  • Present financial results and insights to management and stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative and dynamic team environment
Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Ability to quickly identify business problems/opportunities
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
Ability to handle multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of Accounting theory and procedures
Knowledge of Operating and Capital Financial Statements
Knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Knowledge of SAP general ledger software
Proficient in Forecasting, Budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
Effective computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Required Education
Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience

Required Related Work Experience
2+ years of Accounting, Financial Analysis, or related experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1+ years of experience in reporting software (e.g., MicroStrategy, Alteryx)
