Job Summary

The Business Support II provides support to the New Business and Underwriting Department and fulfills a role within Indexing and Medical Underwriting Support. The role specifically provides support by: ordering and following up on underwriting requirements, analyzing submitted documents from producers and policyowners for new business and policy change business to ensure accuracy and completeness, updating customer files within various admin systems, and routing customer files to the appropriate areas.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Order and follow up on underwriting requirements
  • Process and/or index requests such as: new business applications, administrative and underwriting requirements for pending business
  • Perform data entry
  • Serve as Trainer for Business Support I role
  • Assist with Process Documentation
  • Serve as a liaison to various internal areas
  • Maintain strong and positive internal and external relationships

Job Requirements

Required Education and/or Certifications

  • High School Diploma/GED

Recommended Education and/or Certifications

  • B.A/B.S. College Degree

Required Work Experience

  • 2 years' experience in Business Support or Customer Service
  • Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

Salary Band: 02B

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in IN as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
