Position Summary:

Reviews, analyzes and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks related to existing systems including user support, training, database maintenance, hardware/software upgrades, data security, and disaster recovery. Responsible for structuring a project, performing the detailed planning, and managing project execution and completion of moderate or large projects. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Required Education and/or Experience:

1. A Bachelor of Science degree in a computer-related field is required, or experience equivalent to a degree.

2. Three or more years of experience in the field of Business Systems Analyst.

3. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Server Operating Systems.

4. Manages projects with the goal of implementing applications and applying technology to support business activities and processes.

5. Operates as a liaison between IT and other business teams to deliver solutions.

6. Determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements.

7. Communicates project details and performance to IT Management and/or Sr. Management.

8. Responsible for defining conceptual design of software applications.

9. Responsible for integration between new and/or existing applications.

10. Responsible for development of project budgets and management of financial performance.

11. Supports and maintains existing systems- including user support, hardware/software upgrades, data security and disaster recovery.

12. Communicates with software vendors and software support for sales and/or support of existing applications.

13. Participates in long-term strategic planning.

14. Makes recommendations for improvements to IT Leader.

15. Responsible for continuous development of project management and leadership skills.

16. May participate is WARN's software and vendor selection process as necessary.

17. Problem-solves individually or as part of a group as job duties require. May lead problem-solving activities.

18. Accountable for developing and monitoring processes and practices necessary for legal and ethical compliance in assigned area.

19. Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

1. Excellent communication, interpersonal and project management skills.

2. Ability to facilitate activities necessary to a project's completion.

3. Experience with Java, SQL, JavaScript, Linux, Docker highly desired.

4. Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with users, software developers and software vendors.

5. Knowledge of business processes including product development, manufacturing, and change management.

6. Knowledgeable of project documentation and processes.

7. Ability to creatively review and solve problems.

8. Ability to effectively manage a cross-functional project team.

9. Ability to explain technical concepts in easily understood terms for users and company management.

10. Ability to creatively approach and solve situations.

11. Ability to facilitate activities necessary to a project's completion.

12. Ability to work with minimal supervision.

13. Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers and third-parties.
