As a rapidly growing company, we are seeking an experienced Operations Director to join our team and lead the operations of our manufacturing plant in Nevada. If you are passionate about process optimization, team leadership, and quality control, we’d love to have you on board. --Role Overview: As aCabinet makerat Noovo, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing process, creating and assembling high-quality wooden components for our campervans. You’ll work closely with our production team to ensure that every piece meets Noovo’s high standards of craftsmanship and quality. A 'skills test' or general assessment of skill may be evaluated during the course of the interview. Key Responsibilities:Carpentry and Assembly: • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wooden components for campervans based on design specifications. • Work with various types of wood and materials, ensuring precision and attention to detail in all tasks. • Use hand and power tools to carry out carpentry work efficiently and safely. • Install wood fixtures, such as cabinetry, shelves, flooring, and panels, ensuring they are securely built and aligned with the overall design. Quality Control: • Ensure all wooden components and finished assemblies meet Noovo’s high quality standards. • Conduct inspections to identify and correct any defects or issues before they affect the overall product. • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment and materials are safely stored. Collaboration and Communication: • Collaborate with the production team and Operations Director to ensure timely and high-quality completion of carpentry tasks. • Communicate effectively with the team to resolve any challenges during production. Safety and Compliance: • Adhere to safety standards and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. • Ensure proper use and maintenance of all carpentry tools and equipment. Continuous Improvement: • Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. • Stay up-to-date with the latest carpentry techniques and industry trends to apply them in your work. Desired Skills & Experience:Soft Skills: • Strong attention to detail and a high standard of craftsmanship. • Minimum of 5 years of experience required. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changes in the work process. • Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude. • Good time-management skills to ensure tasks are completed on schedule. Hard Skills: • Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment. • Proficiency in the use of carpentry tools and equipment, including hand tools and power tools. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Knowledge of carpentry materials, techniques, and best practices. • Understanding of safety protocols in a workshop setting.
