Candy Store Bouncer/Security

Job Overview We are seeking a professional, responsible, and vigilant Candy Bouncer to join our high-end candy store located in the East Village. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers and play a vital role in facilitating organization in the line, welcoming guests into the store, giving your candy recommendations, and protecting our team/guests at all times. The ideal candidate will have a background in security and law enforcement, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations (whether it is asking for candy recommendations or resolving a conflict). This position requires a combination of physical and mental stamina, as well as a commitment to maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times. Location: 150 2nd Ave. Duties • Monitor the premises for any suspicious activity, maintaining a visible and approachable presence at all times. • Managing the lines and flow of customers in and out of the store • Respond to emergencies and intervene in conflicts, using conflict management and loss prevention techniques to resolve situations safely and effectively. • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as required, providing detailed reports and evidence to support investigations. • Maintain a thorough understanding of venue policies and procedures, ensuring that all guests are aware of their responsibilities and obligations. • Participate in regular training sessions to stay up-to-date on the latest security procedures and protocols. Qualifications • A background in law enforcement or a related field is highly desirable. • Proven experience in a security role, preferably with experience in conflict management and loss prevention. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer service and conflict resolution. • A keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Physical stamina to perform duties that may involve standing for long periods, lifting, and climbing stairs. • A commitment to maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times. • An interest in candy and learning more about what we are offering the city. **Schedule: Monday-Thursday from 5PM-11PM.** Looking to bring on people ASAP!
