Cardiac Surgery APP - Lead

Responsibilities

• Participate in operating procedures to include procurement of veins. Must have Endoscopic experience
• Participate in patient rounds
• Responsible for Post Operative Outpatient Clinic
• Call requirement is One night per week and One weekend per month at St. Joe’s and Chandler Regional
• Order, interpret and analyze diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications.
• Participants in quality assurance and quality improvement for patient care.
• Works within a multidisciplinary team.
• Partners with leadership to interview and select potential candidates
• Work with leaders to develop and implement processes, procedures and protocols
• Assists with daily schedules and on call assignments
• Onboard, orient and assist new hires
• Additional duties as assigned by leadership.

• PA Requirements:

  • Degree as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Must hold and maintain: a.) AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License, b.) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant.
  • 3 years’ minimum experience
  • Valid DEA registration.
  • Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff
