Position Overview: We are seeking a Carpenter to join our team. Key Responsibilities: Craftsmanship: • Perform residential carpentry work, including: • Safe and efficient use of power tools. • Installing windows, doors, and trim. • Laying out and building walls, floors, and ceilings to plans and specifications. • Maintain a high standard of quality to meet the unique requirements of historic home projects. • Solve on-site challenges while preserving the character of older structures. Collaboration: • Work closely with other carpenters and trades to ensure smooth project execution. • Follow directions, adapt to changing project needs, and maintain open communication with team members. Qualifications: • Familiarity with basic hand tools and willingness to learn safe operation of power tools. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work from basic measurements or layouts. • Comfort working on ladders, scaffolding, and in a variety of job site conditions. • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. • Reliability - shows up on time, ready to work every day. • Willingness to take direction, ask questions, and learn new techniques quickly. • Interest in construction, woodworking, or hands-on projects. • Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team. • Must have a valid drivers license and the legal right to work in the United States; Kiwi Carpenters is unable to provide sponsorship for employment visas.
