Carpenter Apprentice

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Carpenter Apprentice for a well-established manufacturing company located in East Austin. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building, repairing, and installing wood structures and components used in production projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on carpentry experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As an Apprentice Carpenter, you’ll be responsible for: • Measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wood and other materials according to specifications • Reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders • Using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectively • Repairing, modifying, or maintaining wood structures and fixtures as needed • Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment • Following all company policies, safety protocols, and job site procedures • Performing other related duties as assigned What you’ll need: • 2-4+ years of experience as a carpenter or in woodworking (required) • Strong skills in measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing wood materials • Ability to read and follow blueprints or technical drawings • Attention to detail and craftsmanship • Knowledge of construction and shop safety practices • Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work in a production setting • High school diploma or equivalent Perks: • Hourly pay range: $19–$24/hour, based on experience • Steady Monday–Friday schedule: 7:00 am – 3:45 pm OR 7:00 am – 5:45 pm (with overtime as needed) • Career growth opportunities! • Full benefits package including medical, vision, dental, and life insurance. • Paid time off Click on Apply Now to be considered for the Carpenter role, or visit our websitewww.openwork.comto explore other available opportunities.
