Job Summary The Carpenter Craftsman is the position that completes measuring, fabrication, installation, finishing, and restoration tasks for all carpentry related items including windows, doors, sashes, millwork, cabinets, finish trim, staining / finishing tasks. Required 2+ years professional (resume + references available) carpentry experience. Duties(Include but not limited to) of this position: Field Measurements: You will be required to accurately procure field measurements for a perfect installation every time. Fabrication: You will be required to mill lumber to size, proper joinery, assembly glue ups, proper preparation sanding, staining / finishing, priming /painting, transportation & installation. You will need to have experience with wood windows and doors. Restoration: You will be required to complete epoxy consolidate repairs for rotted wood, component replacements on jambs, sills face trims, and any other wood surface including proper waterproofing sealant applications, finish painting / staining / finishing. Experience Required Skills & experience: 2+ Years Professional wood working on custom windows, doors, sashes. Tools:Basic hand tools, power tools like drills, miter saws, circular saws, grinders, reciprocating saws. Lifting capacity of 100lbs without any assistance. Must be willing to work on scaffolding up to 32' in the air. Must be willing to work on extension ladders up to 32' in the air. Must be willing to work on lifts up to 100' in the air. Must own & bring basic hand tools. Additional Requirements of this position: Drug free -Drug test required during the application process. Clean Background -Background check required during the application process. Valid driver's license- Candidate is responsible for driving a company vehicle & pulling a trailer. Ability & will to work up to 12 hours when out of town sometimes in 100+ degree conditions. Ability & will to work out of town for up to 2 weeks straight (14 consecutive days). Preferred skillsthat will command a higher starting compensation: 1) Extensive experience with wood working with a well rounded skill set including cabinets, custom router knives, historic restoration. 2) General Glass Industry Experience (Glass Cutting, glass installation, glass handling) 3) Welding or metal work.
