Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team, responsible for a variety of carpentry tasks in both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in trim carpentry, flooring installation, and remodeling projects. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and proficiency in using various power tools and equipment. Responsibilities • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. • Perform trim carpentry tasks including the installation of moldings, baseboards, and door frames. • Execute flooring installation projects with precision and care. • Fabricate custom pieces as required for specific projects. • Apply caulking to seal joints and gaps for improved aesthetics and insulation. • Conduct mold remediation as necessary to ensure safe living environments. • Collaborate effectively on construction sites with other trades such as electrical teams. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. • Utilize power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks. Skills • Proficient in trim carpentry techniques and practices. • Experienced in flooring installation methods. • Strong ability to fabricate custom woodwork as needed. • Knowledgeable in caulking techniques for various applications. • Familiarity with mold remediation processes. • Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of site safety regulations. • Basic electrical knowledge is a plus but not required. • Competent in the use of power tools including saws, drills, and nail guns. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
