We are looking for dedicated and highly qualified professionals to work at Naval Air Station North Island CA under a contractual effort PRODUCTION SUPPORT SERVICES (PSS) Fleet Readiness Center South West (FRCSW) Description: The Carpenter, Maintenance performs the carpentry duties necessary to maintain in good repair building woodwork and equipment such as bins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, doors. Work involves most of the following: planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments, and making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work; and selecting materials necessary for the work. In general, the work of the maintenance carpenter requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. Minimum Qualifications: • Must be a U.S. Citizen • Must be a High School Graduate • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance • Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and / or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned task. • Must past pre-employment background check. • Must past pre-employment and post-employment drug testing. • Prior experience in Carpentry and Construction, General Industry safety procedures, 4 years’ experience Preferred Qualification: • Active Secret Clearance • Prior experience in Carpentry and Construction, General Industry safety procedures, 6 years’ experience No relocation assistance provided.
