This role is ideal for someone with solid carpentry skills who can also support the Project Manager in keeping projects moving smoothly. You'll be responsible for executing high-quality, detail-driven work on-site, while helping to coordinate schedules, trades, and materials as needed. **Only candidates currently residing in the Austin area will be considered** About the Role As a Carpenter, you’ll be a critical part of the day-to-day success on each job site. You’ll perform hands-on carpentry work while serving as an on-site liaison and support system for the Project Manager by maintaining job site organization & cleanliness, coordinating material deliveries/returns, assisting with coordination of subcontractors, and ensuring that details don’t fall through the cracks. You’ll be the eyes and ears on site, upholding EAC's commitment to excellence and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Carpentry & Site Work • Prepare and protect job sites before work begins • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment • Perform demolition, basic framing, and finish carpentry with a high level of craftsmanship • Install doors, cabinetry, windows, and trim • Complete punch list items and ensure final details meet quality expectations • Keep thorough and accurate daily logs Project Support • Serve as a reliable point of contact on-site in support of the Project Manager • Assist with coordinating subcontractor timing and material deliveries • Communicate daily site updates to the Project Manager • Help identify and address issues discovered on-site during and after subcontractor installs • Interpret scopes of work regarding original contract scope vs. change orders and construction documents to ensure quality and accuracy Qualifications • 3+ years of hands-on carpentry experience in residential remodeling,with a preference for experience in high-end or upscale renovation projects • Comfortable working independently and making on-the-ground decisions • Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship • Excellent communicator and collaborator • Experience interpreting scopes, drawings, and specifications • Understanding of jobsite safety and residential construction standards Requirements • High School Diploma or GED • Reliable personal work vehicle and valid driver’s license • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening • Full set of personal tools (see list below) Tools Required • Basic hand tools • Battery Tool Loadout – Includes circular, reciprocating, and jigsaws; oscillating multitool; drill/driver; and other essentials • Nail Guns – Framing, 15/16-gauge finish, and 18-gauge brad nailers. • Miter Saw (for angled cuts) and Table Saw (for rip cuts and precision work) • Punch List / Finishing Tools – For drywall repairs, paint touch-ups, and light electrical/plumbing tasks Physical Requirements • Ability to lift and carry heavy tools and materials • Physical stamina for standing, climbing, bending, and lifting throughout the workday Why Join EAC?
