We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead to oversee and coordinate various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, demonstrating expertise in both hands-on tasks and project management. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively communicate with team members, ensure quality workmanship, and maintain safety standards on the job site.
Duties
• Supervise and lead a team of construction workers, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Perform construction estimating to assess project costs and resource requirements.
• Execute trim and frame carpentry tasks, including cabinet installation and door hanging.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various construction tasks.
• Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and requirements.
• Oversee concrete forming, plastering, siding, roofing, and other exterior work as needed.
• Manage restoration projects including water damage restoration, mold remediation, and general remodeling.
• Coordinate fixture installation, flooring installation, tile laying, caulking, and stucco work.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing heavy lifting and other physically demanding tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to best practices in the restoration industry.
Skills
• Proficient in construction estimating, carpentry (trim and frame), woodworking, and fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, concrete forming techniques, plastering methods, rebar installation, masonry, plumbing, electrical experience, metal stud framing, CNC operation, assembly processes, and construction painting.
• Experience in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for effective project execution.
• Familiarity with restoration practices including water damage restoration and mold remediation.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by specific tasks on the job site.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in the restoration industry is highly desirable.
