Carpenter/Laborer

We are seeking a hardworking and dependableCarpenterto join our team at a busymetal recycling yard. This role requires a skilled carpenter who is also willing and able to perform general labor duties, including shoveling cement and assisting with maintenance or cleanup tasks as needed. Key Responsibilities: • Perform carpentry work for yard structures, forms, repairs, and basic builds using wood or other materials. • Construct and repair concrete forms, barricades, ramps, and other support structures. • Assist in pouring, finishing, andshoveling cementduring small concrete projects or yard repairs. • Support general labor tasks such as material handling, site cleanup, and equipment relocation. • Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively. • Perform heavy lifting, bending, and physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions. • Follow all safety guidelines and use proper PPE at all times. • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Requirements: • Proven carpentry experience in an industrial, construction, or similar setting. • Willingness to perform physically demanding labor, includingshoveling cement and manual material handling. • Ability to read and follow basic drawings or construction instructions. • Comfortable working outdoors in rugged environments. • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. • Forklift or skid steer experience is a plus (but not required). • Must pass a drug test and background check (if required by employer). Work Environment: • Outdoor industrial yard with exposure to dust, dirt, and weather. • May require standing, walking, lifting (50+ lbs), and bending for long periods.
