Carpenter/Laborer

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to perform various tasks associated with carpentry and general labor on construction sites. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects efficiently and safely. Duties • Assist withframing, siding, and roofing • Measure, cut, and installbuilding materials like wood, metal, insulation, or drywall • Operatehand tools and power tools(e.g., saws, drills, nail guns) • Performsite preparation and clean-up, including debris removal • Load and unload materials and equipment • Follow blueprints or supervisor instructions • Build and installwalls, floors, and roof systems • Set doors, windows, and trim • Assist in building or repairingdecks, stairs, and ramps • Support withfloor leveling • Installcabinets, baseboards, and moldings • Assist withflooring(vinyl, carpet, etc.) • Hang drywall and help with finishing (taping/mudding) • Ensure work complies with plan • Maintain a clean, safe worksite • Report damaged materials or safety hazards to supervisor • Work as part of a team with minimal supervision Experience Candidates should possess a background in carpentry or general labor with experience in the following areas being highly desirable: • Framing: Skills in building the framework in walls, roof trusses, and floor systems • Flooring Installation: Ability to install various types of flooring, such as vinyl, laminate, carpet, or tile, ensuring a solid base • Roof Installation or Repair: Knowledge of shingle roofs, rubberized roofs, and metal roofs and ability to repair or replace roofs • Siding: Ability to install, repair or replace siding materials like vinyl, aluminum, or fiberglass. • Windows and doors: Installing or replacing windows and doors, ensuring they are weatherproofed and properly sealed • Drywall Installation and Finishing: Hanging, taping, mudding, and sanding drywall to prepare for painting or wallpapering • Cabinetry and Trim: Building and installing cabinets, countertops, and baseboards • Painting and Finishing: Preparing surfaces and applying finishes for walls, ceilings, and woodwork, ensuring a polished final look • Soft Skills & Attributes: Problem-solving - Ability to diagnose issues and find practical solutions for complex problems If you are a dedicated individual looking to advance your career in carpentry and construction, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!
