As a Cashier, your primary role will be to assist customers during the checkout process, ensuring they leave with a positive impression every time. You'll operate a cash register, process sales, handle various forms of payment, answer customer questions, and help maintain a clean and organized front-end area. Duties • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed to ensure a pleasant shopping experience. • Process customer transactions accurately using a cash register, including cash handling and credit card processing. • Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to effectively assist customers with their inquiries. • Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and courtesy. • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area. • Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and provide support during busy periods. Skills • Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products when appropriate. • Excellent customer service skills, ensuring a positive interaction with every customer. • Proficient phone etiquette for handling inquiries over the phone. • Cash handling experience, demonstrating accuracy in processing transactions. • Familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale systems. • Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and change calculation.
