Now Hiring: Friendly & Fast-Paced Cashier for Neighborhood Wine & Spirits Shop Location: Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY Starting Pay: $20/hr (increases to $22/hr after 2 1-month reviews) Schedule: Mon-Wed, Fri-Sat shifts ending at 10pm 35 hours/week, holiday availability required We're a busy, well-loved neighborhood wine and spirits shop known for our warm, welcoming atmosphere, knowledgeable team, and friendly conversations (we even know many of our customers dogs by name). We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, enjoys interacting with people, and can juggle multiple tasks with a smile. What You'll Do • Ring up purchases quickly and accurately on our single-register POS system • Help customers find what they're looking for and steer them to the right section • Look up items in the POS and apply special discounts for our local business partners • Keep the behind the counter small-format spirits display neat and well-stocked and clean • Handle dozens of customers per hour during our busiest times without losing your cool • Maintain a friendly, approachable demeanor with every customer Who You Are • Friendly, upbeat, and genuinely enjoy talking to people • Comfortable on your feet during busy shifts and able to multitask under pressure • Fast, accurate, and confident on a register • Neat in appearance (no strict dress code we just keep it clean and presentable) • Reliable, punctual, and not glued to your phone when customers are around • Happy to work some holidays they're our busiest and most exciting days Pay & Perks • $20/hour starting pay, increasing to $22/hour after 2 successful 1-month reviews • Work in a non-pretentious, supportive environment with wine and spirits enthusiasts • Opportunities to learn about wines and spirits from a knowledgeable team • 1 week paid vacation after 6 months If you're ready to join a small but mighty team that values friendliness, efficiency, and customer connection, we'd love to hear from you!
