Job Description

Principle Accountabilities • Responsible for the safe, controlled start-up and operation of the cast line equipment including starting the machine, engaging the feed, observing the operation, and managing the changeover process. • Inspects and measure completed pieces to verify conformity to customer production standards. • Monitors and adjusts controls to ensure the product complies with production standards. • Supervises and instructs line assistants in all production-based tasks. • Maintains equipment through the completion of assigned preventative maintenance tasks and minor repair techniques as required. • Records quality and production metrics via written communication methods and within-time deadlines, as necessary. • Performs all work in a safety-first mentality and with the utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills. • Related tasks as requested by supervisor. Essential Skills and Experience • High School Diploma or Equivalent required. • 2-3 Years in a Manufacturing Environment experience. • 1-2 years of Machine Operator experience, preferred. • Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary. • Ability to work in a space-limited work area on a continuous basis. • Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to operate within a team environment. • Availability to work flexible/changing schedules Physical Requirements • Ability to lift 50 pounds. • Ability to kneel, stoop, crawl, squat, and stand for extended periods of time while performing job duties (up to 12 hours a day). • Ability to push, pull, bend, climb, walk, and lift on a continuous basis (up to 12 hours a day). • Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods of time. • Willingness to work in non-temperature-controlled environments.
