All about the role:

The Category Manager resides with in Electrolux's groupPurchasing organization. Driving Brand Loyalty is an integral part of themission, and this position is a critical link to promoting Brand Loyalty amongElectrolux customers by providing them with an effortless experience.

Within the Consumer Direct InteractionPurchasing Organization, the Category Manager is the one with the keyresponsibility of sourcing and securing required components and materials tosupport the best-in-class availability of after-market parts and accessories atthe lowest total delivered cost to Electrolux and its customers. This is a strategic role that requires crosscollaboration, expansive ideas, and close attention to detail. You will also lead the implementation ofprojects to deliver cost savings in the sourcing of required materials andcomponents needed to support after-market parts and accessories across ourcooking, fabric care, dish care, and refrigeration product lines

What you'll do:

As the Category Manager,you are the one responsible to establish and build therelationships with our Suppliers leading the Value Based Sourcing approach,being sure all the departments you cooperate with are aligned with yourPurchasing vision and road map for the assigned category. You will work in close collaboration withcross-functional stakeholders, such as CDI Marketing, CDI Product Lines, CDISales, Legal and Major Appliances Purchasing and Engineering teams to identifyand support new product launches, implement cost out projects and align the CDIpurchasing team on global category strategies. Additionally, you will supportWarehousing Operations in the Indirect Spend category, ensuring a closealignment with the local leadership and operational team to support theirIndirect Spend support needs.

In detail, you will:

Manage the business strategically with the objective to leverage, to promote complexity reduction, simplification, modularization, cost performance and innovation driving including Supplier Development (automation, quality improvement, productivity increase) and support sourcing decisions in close collaboration with the Global Domain

Maximize buying efficiency, minimize supply disruption, and financial risks for the Business Areas

Identify potential contract improvement opportunities & re-negotiations.

Work with the Product Lines of the Business Area and Global Category Managers to build and deploy a category strategy that aligns with CDI Business strategy.

Implement supplier agreements/contracts when beneficial by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions

Support the sourcing needs of new aftermarket consumables and accessories by interviewing and conferring with prospective suppliers to determine supplier capabilities, negotiate prices, delivery terms, and ensure best-in-class total cost sourcing solutions.

Partner with, and support initiatives and directives of, Electrolux Major Appliances North America (EMA-NA) commodity, global commodity, product line, sales, engineering, publications, and other teams toward best-in-class quality, delivery, and cost.

Regularly analyze supplier quality, delivery, and cost metrics to develop and engage for improvement.

Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities

Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

Qualificationsrequired:

BA/BS degree in Business or Engineering

4+ years of relevant experience in purchasing, sourcing, category management with an international/global exposure is preferred.

Experience and knowledge of the purchasing environment for the commodities managed with the capability to analyze business procurement issues, recommend solutions and strategies, and implement change

Strong knowledge of the strategic sourcing methodology and its application

Strong analytical, financial, and business acumen to include should-cost modeling

Basic knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings of component parts

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage strategic supplier relationships, including relationship building, performance, development, and integration.

Expertise in supplier processes and cost drivers

Experience in project leadership

Understanding of cross-border shipment laws, tariffs, taxation, and time frames

Familiarity with supply chain and material flow (lead-times, tier-2 vendors, etc.)
