Summary of Position: The Catering Executive Chef oversees all culinary operations for catered events at Hearsay and Perks. This role is responsible for menu development, event-specific planning, kitchen leadership, staff training, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency. The position ensures seamless execution of catering services across a variety of formats, aligning with the company’s vision and exceeding guest expectations.This role requires proven experience in both corporate catering through the Perks division (boxed lunches, sandwich platters, and large-volume drop-off catering) and elevated catering through the Hearsay division (higher-end plated dinners, receptions, and premium events). Duties & Responsibilities: β€’ Lead and manage kitchen operations for all catered events, from corporate drop-off orders to upscale functions β€’ Develop and execute creative, seasonal menus tailored to client needs and event style β€’ Supervise, train, and schedule kitchen staff to ensure smooth preparation and execution β€’ Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation to maintain consistent standards across both divisions β€’ Collaborate with event planners, banquet teams, and front-of-house staff to coordinate timing and service β€’ Control food costs, manage inventory, and oversee ordering procedures for catered events β€’ Ensure cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards are met in all catering prep and production areas β€’ Troubleshoot kitchen and event execution issues quickly and effectively β€’ Stay current on catering and culinary trends, incorporating innovative techniques when appropriate Qualifications: β€’ 5+ years of experience in high-volume culinary leadership, with a focus on both corporate and high-end catering β€’ Culinary degree or equivalent formal culinary training preferred β€’ Strong leadership, organizational, and team development skills β€’ Proven ability to multitask across multiple events and service formats β€’ Excellent palate and knowledge of flavor profiles, menu balance, and event presentation β€’ Deep knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and catering best practices β€’ Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings Pay and Benefits: β€’ Competitive wages based on experience β€’ Blue Cross Blue Shield Health, Vision, and Dental insurance β€’ Complimentary dining β€’ Paid vacation β€’ 401K β€’ Opportunities to grow within the company Job Type: Full-time Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year Benefits: β€’ 401(k) β€’ Dental insurance β€’ Health insurance β€’ Paid time off β€’ Vision insurance Work Location: In person
