Kaspars Catering is Hiring a Sous Chef An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef at one of Seattle's most well respected food and beverage Catering company. Kaspars has been creating local, farm to table cuisine in Seattle for over 30 years. This position has an excellent opportunity for advancement. You will work in our location in Magnolia, and at exclusive venues, event facilities, businesses and homes in the Seattle area. We offer a family team atmosphere, with a kitchen team of about 10, including chefs, cooks and culinary students. We prepare all menu items (including breads and desserts) from scratch using fresh, local and organic ingredients. Candidate should have: • Experience working as a chef at a hotel, restaurant or catering company • Good communication skills • Supervisory experience of a kitchen team • Culinary degree and/or experience in many cuisines • Requires a valid Washington Driver's License and King County Health Permit • Excellent people skills • Drive and ambition to take on supervisory role and advancement • Motivation to learn and develop new ideas and skills and be: • A self starter, high energy achiever, motivated • Task and goal oriented • Reliable and willing to learn • A leader and team player You will work a flexible schedule including day and evening on and off premise events, and special events including events for hundreds of guests, gala dinners, corporate and private dinners, wedding receptions, wine and distillery events and much more.
