Responsibilities • Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods to designated locations. • Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while considering traffic and weather conditions. • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked, mileage, and fuel consumption. • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit. • Ensure proper handling of freight, including securing loads and managing any necessary paperwork for shipments. • Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations while on the road. Experience • Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). • Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols in the transportation industry.
