Tidewater Transit drivers must be committed to upholding the highest standard for safety and service. Job Requirements: Class A CDL Truck Driver Requirements We’re looking for drivers who meet the following qualifications: • Valid Class A CDL • Must be at least 23 years old (Required) • At least One Year Class A CDL Truck Driving Experience • Class A CDL Tanker Driver should Possess a Tanker Endorsement (Required) • Current DOT Physical or ability to obtain one prior to employment • You must be willing to obtain a Transportation Worker’s Identification Card (TWIC) or Passport (not required to start!) • Class A CDL Driver must be able to read, write, understand and speak the English Language (Required) • Must be able to pass a respirator or pulmonary fit & function test (when applicable) • Clean driving record with no recent major violations • Tanker endorsement required • Hazmat endorsement (or must obtain in the first 90 days) • Commitment to safety and professionalism
