CDL B Truck Driver Job Description: Fauna Foods Corp. serves the independent pet channel and has a proven track record of providing an outstanding customer experience for over 40 years. We are currently seeking a CDL Class B Truck driver with a minimum of 2 years of experience driving 26-foot box trucks with air brakes. You should currently be working as a delivery driver. To qualify for this position, you must have a clean driving record and have the ability to unload and verify counts of delivered goods at multiple customer locations in an efficient manner. Please see requirements below, before applying. With typical overtime hours, potential to earn $65,000 per year is possible. Mandatory Requirements: · Minimum 2 years experience driving a truck with air brakes and verifying delivered quantities at customer locations. · Experience driving in the New York tri-state area within a 100-mile radius including all NYC boroughs. · Current and valid CDL-Class B license with an Air Brakes endorsement · Clean driving record. · Before employment, pass a DOT physical and drug screening. · Pass random drug and alcohol testing during employment. · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. by hand. · Ability to use a hand-truck and pallet jack. · Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and with customers. Driver Responsibilities: · Monday to Friday daily trips with early morning start time. Occasional Saturdays. · Return all paperwork (invoices, credits) to Accounting department at end of shift. · Live communication with warehouse regarding errors with shipments, maintenance issues, and customer complaints. · Operate the Electronic Logging Device in compliance with DOT requirements. This includes but is not limited to performing pre- and post- trip inspections of truck.
