Certified Electrician

Heffler Contracting Groupan established Federal General Contractor seeking full time Journeyman Electricians Candidates must be state certified or licensed and experienced in the electrical construction industry, knowledge of Defense industry construction practices preferred. Relevant proven experience and skills in electrical construction industry, attention to detail, good organizational and multitasking skills, knowledge of current electrical codes and safety standards. Projects (Design Build & Design Bid-Build, MACC, SATOC, MATOC) range from fully defined conventional Design-Bid-Build to conceptual alternative Design-Build. Projects (JOC, SABER, Task Order Type Programs) range from $10K to $10M. All Federal construction projects. Travel is required and pay is based on Davis Bacon prevailing wage. We are current looking for Certified Journeyman Electricians to man projects in San Diego County. Responsibilities • Install, test, trouble shoot and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems in a safe, productive, and professional manner. • Supply of personnel hand tools • Use industry related hand tools and power tools. • Installation of all type’s electrical conduit and wireway systems (RMC, IMC, EMT, PVC, FMC, LFMC, cable tray, gutter) • Branch circuit and feeder conductor, pulling and terminating. • Reading and preparing plans, sketches, single lines, and schematic diagrams showing the installation electrical systems. • Communicate effectively with Foremen and crew members. • Maintain workflow schedule to ensure all productivity objectives are met. • Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues, customers, and vendors. • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Requirements • Must hold a current Journeyman Wireman license or certificate. • Must pass federal military background check. • California REAL ID • Must be able to travel 100%. • Reliable transportation • Must possess personnel hand tools. • Knowledge of current National Electric Code • Knowledge all current OSHA safety standards • Knowledge of installation of all conduits discipline up to 4.’’ • Understanding of proper panelboard, switchboard installation practices • Working knowledge of construction documents blueprints, single lines, schematics. • Experience finding and repairing faults in electrical apparatus and circuits. • Experience helping with the management of a project, crew, and material. • Lift 50 lbs from the ground and pull 50 lbs of force. • Fully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25 lbs tool belt. • Maintain a standing position for extended periods of time while performing repetitive actions.
