Certified Electrician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and certified Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both commercial and industrial electrical work, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires proficiency in handling various electrical systems, including high and low voltage installations, switchgear, UPS systems, solar arrays, XP Rated environments, EV Charging stations, as well as experience with programmable logic controllers. The Electrician will be responsible for ensuring all electrical installations meet the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of electrical systems. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues. • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems. • Ensure compliance with NEC regulations during all electrical installations and renovations. • Collaborate with construction teams on-site to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety standards. • Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement. • Provide maintenance person services as needed, including frame carpentry and general construction tasks. • Ability to multi-task and good time management skills, to handle both scheduled Preventive Maintenances and daily emergency issues and corrective repairs. Experience • Proven experience as an Electrician in both commercial and industrial environments is essential. • Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage systems is required. • Experience working in commercial sites with a strong understanding of safety protocols. • Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively is crucial for this role. • Previous experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment is necessary. • A background in renovation projects is a plus, along with maintenance person experience that complements electrical skills.
