About the Opportunity

An affiliated practice of Ascension St. Vincent’s is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join a collaborative, patient-focused women’s health team providing care in both hospital and outpatient settings throughout Jacksonville and surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity to practice within a respected, physician-led group that values holistic, evidence-based care and works closely with Ascension St. Vincent’s hospitals to support women before, during, and after pregnancy.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent and collaborative primary healthcare to women before, during, and after pregnancy, including postpartum and newborn care.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families on childbirth, family planning, and gynecologic health.
• Support informed choice and shared decision-making.
• Participate in on-call rotation and deliveries at Ascension St. Vincent’s hospitals.

Requirements

• Certified Nurse Midwife credential (AMCB) required.
• Current Florida RN and APRN licenses.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing, Midwifery, or related field.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive, patient-centered care.

This affiliated practice collaborates with Ascension St. Vincent’s to deliver high-quality, family-centered maternity and gynecologic care across multiple community sites. The team includes experienced OB/GYN physicians, nurse midwives, and women’s health specialists dedicated to excellence in clinical outcomes and patient experience.
