Salary:$65,000 - $75,000
In this position you willmanage 20-30 clientsindependently, from handlingQuickBooks Online, being the primary point of contact, to analyzing what’s going on in a client’s business and leading client meetings by presenting financial data. GreenOak Accounting is the industry leader in accounting for mental health, so all clients this position handles will be psychologists, family therapists, and mental health counselors.
We are looking for someone who wants to move into a management role in the future as we like to promote from within.
The accountant is expected to be able to handle 80-90% of the work independently, perform a self-review, and reach out to their manager as needed. The manager is responsible for reviewing, training and developing their team with a constant feedback loop, so you can expect regular check-ins and an opportunity to grow.

Who you are:
• CPA/EAstrongly preferred or actively pursuing one.
• 5+ Years Accounting/ Bookkeeping Experience
• 5+ years Proficient in Quickbooks Online
• You love working with clients and having a direct impact on their business
• You feel comfortable talking with your clients and presenting basic financial data
• You have a desire to do more than just crunch the numbers, you want to help clients understand their financials, and you want to present data in a way that makes sense to them
• You have strong critical thinking skills
• You would like to develop your CFO-level skills
• When you don’t know the answer, you figure out what it is
• You’re great at juggling multiple priorities and like to stay busy
• You have strong communications skills, both written and verbal
• You are tech-savvy and aren’t afraid to maximize the tools at your disposal
• You love helping people, thinking outside the box, going the extra mile
• You are confident in your accounting skills, while knowing when to say “let me check on that” in order to give your client accurate information
• You have awhatever-it-takesattitude to meet the needs of our customers
• You have the organizational skills and attention to detail required to manage your projects

• Bookkeepers at a public accounting firm who would like the flexibility of remote work (after the training period)
• Staff accountants stuck at a small firm with little or no room for growth (whenever possible we promote managers from within!)
• An accountant who wants to have more client-facing time, not just crunching numbers in the background
• Self-employed accountants who want to be surrounded by a team and work collaboratively
What your typical day would look like:
8am: Answer emails, plan the day ahead
9am: Team meeting with your manager and peers. Align on priorities, ask for help with any issues, look ahead at the upcoming client meetings.
10: client work (process bank feeds,
troubleshoot a syncing issue with a payroll software, reconcile accounts, perform
a self-review, draft financial reports for your manager’s review)
Noon: lunch break
1pm: Answer emails (follow up on a W9 request, help a client understand a line item in last month’s P&L)
2pm: client meeting (present financial reports and various analysis tools—KPIs, cash flow forecast, etc)
3pm: client work
4:30 email check, review reports for tomorrow’s client meetings
