Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Centria Healthcare is a leading provider of home-based catastrophic injury and rehabilitation care, private duty nursing, and supportive living services. Centria Healthcare Autism Services is the largest provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across the state of Michigan, with services in other states.

Position Summary

The Charge Capture Specialist role is responsible for processing team member payroll, resolving discrepancies, providing payroll information, and preparing reports.

Success Measures

Success measures include adherence to Centria policies, flawless execution of tasks, a timely, positive customer service experience for team members, and a high level of compliance. Success also includes meeting or exceeding personal qualitative and quantitative key performance indicator (KPI) metrics such as timely, accurate, and expedient payroll processing.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Process accurate payroll and submit to Finance Department weekly.
  2. Problem-solve situations that require additional care with taxes and payments.
  3. Ensure strict confidentiality of staff records to divided levels of corporate business.
  4. Make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive and confidential issues.
  5. Effectively manage inbound processing of high-volume tasks.

Education

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience

Work Experience

  • Data entry experience, required
  • Customer Service experience, required
  • Experience with VLOOKUP and IF formulas in Microsoft Excel, preferred
  • Experience with processing payroll and payroll data, preferred
  • Prior experience with Kronos, ADP, or other large payroll/HRIS systems, preferred

Equipment and Technology Requirements

  • Basic computer skills
  • Working knowledge of laptop/desktop PC
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in G Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Google Meet)

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficiency in PC software, especially spreadsheet programs such as Excel;
  • Results-driven with an aptitude to apply critical thinking skills, problem-solving, analysis, and sound judgment;
  • Requires strong quantitative, statistical, and analytical skills;
  • Superb customer service and phone etiquette skills;
  • Strong affinity for building rapport with team members and external stakeholders, explaining complicated information in an approachable and easily understood manner, effectively handling challenging phone conversations, and representing the Centria brand;
  • Ability to apply and adapt practices and techniques to the specifications set by senior leadership;
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks, adhere to established deadlines, and produce work that consistently meets or exceeds team benchmarks;
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Proven adaptability with a willingness to work both collaboratively and individually to achieve desired business outcomes;
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic with attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.

Working Conditions

  • Centria's office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM.
  • Additional time or occasional shift in schedule may be required to complete the above work or meet company objectives.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, physical requirements such as bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 30 pounds may be required. This role will require sitting most of the day as well as walking and standing periodically. This role may require close visual acuity on computer screens or monitors and the ability to analyze data and figures on a screen.
