Now Hiring: Chef de Partie We are looking for great talent, dedicated, responsible, reliable chefs to join our team! Yozora Japanese Kissa is a casual fine dining restaurant. Our dishes consist of unique ingredients and detailed processing methods. Our chefs also practice fine food plating, expert knife skill, ingredient preparation and understanding the depth of traditional Japanese cuisine. We prefer applicants with culinary backgrounds, honoring culinary academy graduates. Essential Job Functions • Strives to work hard at providing courteous, attentive and rapid service to customers • Understands the importance of adhering to high customer service standards • Maintains excellent knowledge about menu items and ingredients • Ensures that orders are correct, complete, and that food looks appealing before being served to guests • Ensures that all food is delivered in a timely manner • Maintains knowledge of all table numbers • Performs all opening, running, and closing duties • Works hard to resolve any complaints regarding food or service • Other duties as requested by the manager Position Requirements • Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members • Be able to work positively under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive restaurant environment. • Be proficient in the use of Aloha Point-of-sale (POS) terminals. • Excellent critical thinking and time management skills • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, sushi bar, and fellow dining room team members. • Be willing to follow directions and ask questions for clarification if needed. • Must be able to respond appropriately to emergencies to avoid imminent danger to self and others. • Must have the physical abilities to carry out the functions of the job descriptions.
