Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our busy Italian restaurant in downtown Campbell. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Italian cooking, showcasing exceptional culinary skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. Having a minimum of3 years experience in Italian cuisine is requiredfor the success of this role. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring that all food preparation meets our standards of excellence. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences.
Responsibilities
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Manage food preparation processes, including cooking, plating, and presentation of dishes.
• Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high standards of food quality and service.
• Collaborate with the dining room employees to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
• Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and order as necessary to ensure availability of ingredients.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to sanitation standards.
• Coordinate Event services as needed, ensuring timely delivery of meals for events.
Skills
• Proficiency in Italian culinary techniques with a passion for creating diverse and flavorful dishes.
• Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations within the food service industry.
• Proven experience in food service management with an emphasis on kitchen management techniques.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience in hospitality settings with an understanding of customer service excellence.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure accurate coordination and dietary accommodations.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation processes.
