Your role and responsibilities

The IBM Z CICS Brand Technical Specialist (BTS) provides technical sales support for the IBM CICS portfolio on the IBM Z platform. He/she works closely with the IBM Sales Specialists Client Team Sales leaders and Account architects progressing sales opportunities by removing all technical inhibitors.

Primary responsibilities include acting as a consultant for our customers mentoring other CICS Specialists and running training both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

Use technical/business acumen to understand the client’s business requirements technical requirements and competitive landscape.

  • Work with the extended technical team and sales teams to deliver effective product Demonstrations Proof of Concept (POC) Proof of Technology (POT) Request for Information responses running technical events supporting the IBM CICS portfolio on the IBM Z platform.
  • Actively engage with clients to develop trust and credibility by building confidence throughout the sales process supporting technical escalations delivering educational capability updates and solving business problems to create an exceptional customer experience.
  • Mentor and train CICS specialists both internally and externally through training classes education events answering questions and being available to address the most complicated CICS related issues.

  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills capable of influencing technical and business stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in delivering enablement programs including leading classes workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions for technical audiences.
