Under general supervision of our DCE-Framework Leader, the Citrix Engineer focuses on virtualization strategies and direction. The primary role is to act as an engaged and contributing technical leader responsible for the design, implementation, and performance of Citrix virtualization service. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate innovative design, configuration, installation, and troubleshooting skills with a senior level of knowledge for multiple Citrix practices and systems including emerging Cloud services. Zions is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah but this position is open to remote work within our footprint in the Western United States.
The ideal candidate for the Citrix Engineer position will have the skills and experience necessary to:
- Responsible to function as a technical leader responsible for the design, implementation, and performance of Citrix virtualization.
- Responsible to focus on virtualization strategies, direction, stability and availability.
- Responsible for day-to-day support of concurrent Citrix users.
- Serves as the subject matter expert for Citrix Environment and technology stack.
- Supports system goals, while supporting and building virtual environments.
- Responsible and accountable for system design and implementations including system architecture design, disaster recovery procedures, developing project requirements, software installations, and configurations on Citrix environments.
- Maintains technical relationships and evaluates market technologies associated with systems vendors.
- Ensures that product enhancements are made or as new products become available understands and determines how they could be applied to customers and the company's environments.

Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor's in computer science, information systems or other related field and 6+ years' experience with managing and deploying high availability Citrix environments and designing, deploying and supporting large-scale Citrix environments.
- A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
- Employs advanced knowledge as a generalist or specialist of multiple Citrix practices and systems.
- Advanced foundation in Citrix XenApp 4.5, 7.6 and 1912 through Citrix Cloud from initial requirements gathering, testing, documentation and installation through all troubleshooting aspects
- Able to demonstrate innovative design, configuration, installation, and troubleshooting skills. Requires excellent analytical, organizational, think creatively and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with customers, stakeholders, management and staff employees.
- Ability to adapt to change and remains stable in stressful situations.
- Ability to set and maintain high quality work standards.
- Ability to prioritize work, carrying out assignments and completes tasks within deadlines with little supervision.
- Ability to mentor junior level engineers.
