Austin Industrialis currently seeking aCarpenterto join our staff located atPasadena, TX.Must be able to construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools. Other duties may be assigned. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: • Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required. • Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws. • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment. • Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, or power tools. • Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools. • Maintain records, document actions, and present written progress reports. • Erect scaffolding or ladders for assembling structures above ground level. • Construct forms or chutes for pouring concrete. Qualifications: • Experience – 5 years of Journeyman level experience. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills • Willing and able to work in shop settings and field environment Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent • Valid Driver's License • Meet physical demands as listed above • Must have knowledge of power tools usage. • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed by the assigned location • Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment • Applicants must be legally able to work for ANY employer in the United States.
