Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer with Municipal and Land Development experience to lead and oversee various engineering projects from conception through completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil engineering and construction management, with expertise in Subdivision and Land Development, Municipal Zoning, Stormwater Management, project scheduling, technical writing, and system design. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities
• Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution for engineering projects.
• Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, for drafting and design tasks.
• Conduct construction estimating and prepare detailed project budgets.
• Oversee construction inspection processes to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop schematics and technical documentation.
• Implement GIS technologies (ArcGIS) for mapping and spatial analysis related to project development.
• Stormwater Management using Bentley Open Flow (Pondpack) for management of Post-Development Stormwater.
• NPDES Permitting
• Manage hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS and SWMM for water treatment and wastewater treatment projects.
• Perform geotechnical engineering assessments as needed for project feasibility.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide leadership in project engineering activities while mentoring junior engineers.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• P.E. License required or ability to obtain Pennsylvania License within 6 months.
• 7 to 10 years Proven experience in project management within the engineering or construction industry.
• Proficiency in software applications including Bentley Open Flows or similar, Bluebeam, Mathcad, CAD tools, and GIS platforms.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
• Familiarity with pipeline design, land surveying techniques, and hydraulics is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills for technical writing and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing individual responsibilities. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 - $62.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
