CLASS A, DELIVERY DRIVER - MAYWOOD

We are looking for experienced Class A Delivery Route Drivers to serve our supply food chain industry in a safe and timely manner. Qualified candidates, please send your resume to:[email protected]. POSITION TYPE This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, Saturday (As Needed). The scheduled start time is TBD. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1) COD and Checks will need to be picked up upon deliveries if needed. 2) For all deliveries where you are provided with a key and a code to disarm alarms you must always arm the alarm and lock the customer's store upon completion of delivery and exiting the building. 3) Drive a truck and deliver merchandise indicated on the route. 4) Aware that drivers may be called to complete pickups. 5) Aware that the driver may be called to complete an intercompany route. 6) Conduct pre-trip inspection and post-trip inspection. Inspect the truck prior to operating for proper amounts of fuel, oil, and water, and see that the tires are inflated and that the lights and brakes work properly. 7) Check the temperature of the unit regularly. 8) Driver vehicle inspection report is to be turned in daily. 9) Make minor emergency repairs to the truck such as installing light bulbs, fuses, and tire chains. 10) Detect truck driving and operating problems. 11) Follow procedures involved in making deliveries. 12) Display the highest ethical and professional behavior in working with customers and any other outside agencies associated with Tapia Brothers Company. 13) Use Omnitracs and company-provided cell phones or tablets to fulfill job functions. 14) Adhere to federal statutes and regulations. 15) Must wear safety equipment. Non-slip-resistant shoes. 16) Ensure that the truck is clean post and pre-shift. 17) Aware of GPS tracking; Omnitracs/Road net tracking delivery software. 18) Aware of Drive Cam; Lytx 19) Must attend all driver safety meetings. 20) Exhibit a personality and demonstrate interpersonal skills to relate well with customers. 21) Must be able to add and subtract. 22) Must call customer service with any questions or concerns regarding merchandise on the invoice. 23) Pallets must be stalked in the unit when the route is finished. 24) Must always wear uniform when provided upon completion of probation. 25) No Smoking in the units. REQUIREMENTS • Have two (2) years of delivery routes driving experience in a commercial vehicle. • Hold and maintain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with no major violations. • Valid DOT Medical Card. • MVR points cannot exceed more than two (2) points. All drivers will be enrolled in Highway Patrol Pull Notice and DOT Random Drug Testing Selection. If your name is selected for random drug testing your immediate supervisor will contact you, you, and are mandated by law to take the test. Refusal to go will be a positive drug test and will be reported and will be automatically terminated due to failure to comply with DOT regulations and company policy. SCHEDULE Monday through Friday, Saturday (As Needed), Hrs. TBD One (1) hour lunch - two ten-minute breaks If you are going to be tardy and/or absent it is your responsibility to contact your immediate supervisor before your scheduled start time. If you are absent two consecutive working days a doctor’s note is required. Driver’s in and out hours are subject to change daily within the legal driving requirements. SALARY Starting salary of $25.00 / hour. Eligible for (40) forty hours of sick pay the first of the month following 30 days. VACATION(based on years of service) 1-2 years = 40 hours 3-9 years = 80 hours 10 years and over = 120 hours Tapia Brothers offers various health and welfare plans to its regular full-time team members.
