Cleaner/Janitor

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including commercial cleaning, floor care, and custodial duties. The Janitor will play a vital role in upholding the standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities. Responsibilities • Perform routine cleaning tasks in commercial settings. • Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing as needed. • Ensure all areas are clean and well-maintained, including restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards. • Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies. • Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks as required. • Report any repairs or replacements needed to the appropriate personnel. • Adhere to safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment. Requirements • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred, but not necessary. • Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing and waxing is a plus. • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. • Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is beneficial. • Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks. • A positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
