Cleaner/Janitor

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all customers. This role is essential in providing high-quality custodial services and requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks. Duties • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas. • Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain the appearance of floors. • Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times. • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, restocking supplies as necessary. • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly. • Follow established procedures for cleaning and sanitizing surfaces to promote health and safety standards. Requirements • Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory. • Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types. • Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and equipment operation is a plus. • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. • A proactive attitude towards maintaining facilities and ensuring a clean environment.
