About the Position We are currently seeking an experienced Client Manager/Business Development Manager to join our growing team in Florida (Tampa, Orlando or Jacksonville preferred). The ideal candidate possesses 10+ years of related experience and wants to grow, collaborate, and innovate. In this position, the successful candidate will assist the Market Leader with sales strategy and enthusiastic implementation of the strategy through active client contact, relationship building, knowledge gathering, market engagement, project pursuits, proposal writing, and other activities to help the firm grow. Projects will span across multiple markets and geographies affording opportunities for broadening knowledge and deepening skill sets related to design projects. We are seeking someone who can be an independent self-starter. Responsibilities • Identify, research and develop new prospects and business opportunities • Develop and maintain positive relationships and monitor client satisfaction with existing clients to foster repeat business • Establish annual growth metrics by overseeing pipeline prioritization and fulfillment to ensure achievement of goals • Develop and execute short and long-term sales plans • Participate in strategic planning, development, and the implementation of business development and marketing programs • Track leads and maintain database for the region using CRM • Play a leading role in the development of strategy, pipeline, and proposal management lifecycle from opportunity development to proposal submission and project kickoff • Assist / oversee proposal preparation and presentations • Maintain a diverse network of relationships including people of influence within our industry, key community partners, strategic partners, and prospective clients • Participate in professional associations and attend networking functions to include clients and the community, and provide feedback and information on markets and trends • Perform other duties as assigned Experience and Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture or Engineering from an accredited college or university and 10+ years' related experience and/or training • Licensed Architect or PE is preferred • Extensive experience in the delivery of A/E projects within Higher Education, K-12 or State Government is required • Current client management/business development experience working within Florida having relevant and immediate sales contacts • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and staff • Ability to gain insights and help set strategy for client relationships and sales • Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work • Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally About Pond Pond is an award-winning, full-service architecture, engineering, planning, construction management, and environmental services firm providing professional solutions to clients throughout the U.S. and globally for nearly 60 years.
