Role Summary: The Client Services General Ledger Accountant is responsible for full-function accounting, including payables, receivables, general ledger work, and producing accurate financial reports and cash flow tools. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external clients to meet deadlines and deliver timely, accurate financial statements. Key Accounting Functions: • Banking & Treasury:Cash/credit card management, bank and fee reconciliations • Revenue Management:Record and oversee weekly revenue recognition • Accounts Payable:Verify transaction information, schedule disbursements, obtain payment authorizations • Accounts Receivable:Oversee invoices and collections, identify delinquent or insufficient payments, process refunds • Financial Reporting:Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data • Balance Sheet Management:Reconcile prepaid/accrued expenses, payable balances, deposits, and other accounts • Month-End Close:Lead the month-end process, maintain checklists, and perform general accounting tasks • Cash Management Reports:Prepare reports for clients and resolve account discrepancies as needed • Internal Controls:Maintain financial security by following established accounting procedures • Team Support:Serve as a resource for accounting team members, assist with AP as needed, and help train staff Requirements for Success: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent) required • Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience • Restaurant industry experience preferred • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices • Familiarity with relevant laws, codes, and regulations • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional composition • Fanatical attention to detail and thoroughness in research and reporting • Strong planning, organization, problem-solving, and collaboration skills • Positive, engaged attitude with the ability to thrive in deadline-driven environments • High degree of professionalism and demonstrated business acumen • Career-minded with a passion for providing excellent client service Alternate Titles: • General Ledger Accountant – Client Services • Staff Accountant – Client Accounting • Accounting Specialist – Client Services We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
