TheClient Services Manageris responsible for all client relationship management and sales for the company in theSan Antonio – Hill Country Market. This critical role works well with clients within the assigned territory, has mastered the art of communications and is proficient in public speaking, is highly skilled at identifying new business opportunities to increase sustained growth, and possesses strategic critical thinking skills. Through strong networking abilities the right individual will demonstrate an aggressive yet professional approach to prospecting and will understand the nature of relationships with intergovernmental and political targets. This position will report to the Associate Vice President of Client Services and receive guidance on the purposes and functions of the work requirements provided by our firm. The Client Services Director will provide day-to-day support to the Client Services Manager.Individuals successful in this role should reside in the San Antonio or Hill Country area. Applicants residing in the Cibolo / New Braunfels regions will be considered as well.
The Company will furnish office equipment, work-related transportation, paid work expenses, and other essentials necessary for this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Managing client relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery, maintain best practices and other customer centric onboarding information.
• Capturing solid contracts and closing business opportunities, sales oriented.
• Be able to maintain performance productivity levels consistent with company standards and increase the overall bottom line.
• Participate in department team member training, meetings, and events, as assigned.
• Cooperatively interact with state and local public officials and staff, business owners, engineers, the public and other involved parties via telephone, email and in person for public input and information gathering
• Coordinate with GrantWorks’ various departments on tasks as assigned.
• Retrieve and interpret documents such as governmental audits, resolutions, procurement documents, pre-construction meeting files, employee interviews for labor standards, and additional duties as assigned.
• Messaging of internal communications out to customer base.
• Heavy travel required as necessary to adequately perform duties as assigned.
• Attending conferences and trade shows across the state and possible national travel.
• Attending and hosting meetings and workshops for local officials and other members of the community, including presentations to county commissioners’ courts, city councils and other entities as necessary.
• Assist in the collection of documentation for applications and grant management activities.
SKILLS
• Strong computer skills arerequired, including the ability to navigate and search the internet to retrieve information when necessary, and use of Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Outlook and SharePoint. Familiarity with Google programs and zoom is a plus.
• Competency in navigating Database programs like QuickBase as CRM tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication (including notetaking), interpersonal, and time management skills required.
• Able to work with numerous deadlines and “trigger” events.
• Creative thinking and problem solving to meet application requirements
• Sales, Marketing, or Business Development experience is preferred.
• Bilingual is strongly desired, Spanish ideally.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration or Marketing preferred but not necessary. Will accept equivalent work experience in lieu of education.
• Experience managing an assigned market or territory for at least 3 years.
• Successful demonstration of the ability to grow and maintain an active client base.
• 3-5 years of work experience inbusiness development, sales, and customer service required; government relations are a plus.
• Knowledge of state and federal grant programs or agencies is a plus but not a requirement, we will train the right person.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record will be required for travel.
• This position requires overnight travel, and heavy travel will berequiredin this position.
