Clinical Pharmacist
As a Pharmacist, you will maintain strong knowledge of hospital policies and government regulations and dispenses medications accordingly. What You Will Do in This Role:
* You will be responsible for reviewing the medication therapy and ensuring it is appropriate for the patientβs diagnosis.
* You will evaluate medication orders, accurately and safely compound medications in acceptable dosage forms, appropriately package and dispense pre-manufactured dosage forms.
* You will identify and consult on possible drug interactions.
* You will effectively and accurately provide education or in-services on rational medication therapy and medication procedures to healthcare professionals, students, patients, or the public as needed.
* You will assist in the supervision and training of pharmacy technician personnel.
* You will maintain knowledge pertaining to facility utilization of automated dispensing processes including the use of automated dispensing units, Connect RX, over wrap packaging, and barcoding within the facility.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
* Registered Pharmacist Certificate and current renewal certification issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy is required.
* Requires Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy, or Pharm. D degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy is required.
* Texas IV certification is required.
* BLS is required
