The Clinical Product Team at Apple is looking for an individual who will partner with team members across the company to develop products, experiences, assessments, and research studies in the area of mental wellbeing. Candidates must possess deep subject matter expertise in clinical science (detection, and course of mental health disorders, as well as evidence-based interventions to address them), the application of clinical science to digital products, and the design of research studies and analysis of data to understand and evaluate mental well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience with and a strong desire to build innovative consumer-focused features, is effective at driving detailed deliverables on time, is capable of working closely with cross-functional teams, engages in open discussion and debates well, and is not afraid of a challenge!

Description
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams on clinical product development. You partner closely with design, engineering and data science teams, as you design feasibility and outcome studies, and synthesize information across teams and theories to form a unique methodology. Additional responsibilities include: - Identify and implement theories of mental wellbeing and engage with experts within the field. - Conduct thorough literature reviews and summarize key points clearly and succinctly. - Communicate and manage relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD, PsyD, or MD in psychology, psychiatry or related field, with an emphasis in clinical science, health behavior change, cognitive neuroscience or a related field.
- 7+ years of post doctoral experience conducting clinical research and/or developing clinical products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in research focused on assessment and treatment for common mental health challenges including modalities of cognitive behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior, therapy, mindfulness based stress reduction, and interventions grounded in positive psychology.
- Background in applying clinical intervention frameworks to digital products
- Experience representing one's area of expertise in presentations, describing rationale for product design and/or research findings for digital mental health products.
- Experience with AI/ML applications in digital products preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to simplify complex scientific concepts and communicate these to non-medical team members.
- Independent self-starter who thrives in complex and ambiguous environments.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
