Cloud Engineer, Specialist

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Azure Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic Cloud Platform Engineering team as we are building Azure Foundational capabilities and automating Azure Foundation Platform Infrastructure. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure cloud infrastructure while ensuring the highest levels of security, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Your expertise in Azure, security, networking, and CI/CD pipeline automation will be essential in achieving our infrastructure and deployment goals. Role: • Implement and support Azure-based infrastructure solutions, IAAS, PAAS, SAAS components. • Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like ARM templates or Terraform. • Manage and monitor Azure resources using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. along with alerting, reporting and dashboarding • Design, Deploy and Support Azure cloud native components such as Landing Zones, Subscriptions. Availability Zones, Storage, Serverless, Network Security Groups, Load Balancers, Containerization, System Administration, Backups, Patching, etc. • Implement and maintain security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), network security groups (NSGs), and Azure Policy. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud solutions, services and integrate Azure services into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. • Optimize Azure resource usage and manage cost through Azure Cost Management and budgeting tools. • Maintain documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures. • Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures. • Trains and mentors more junior staff on processes and releases. Troubleshoots and resolves complex issues elevated from staff. Provides guidance and consultation as required. Updates, writes, and maintains documentation for the department. What it takes to be successful: • To be successful in this role, you should be able to collaborate well with security, architects, platform Engineers, developers and other delivery team members to implement and maintain cloud-based solutions in accordance with architecture guidelines and company security policies. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and Work in a collaborative development environment as part of a team. • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. • Intricate knowledge of IT infrastructure and workflows: hardware, OS, networking. Responsibilities: • Designs, implements, and deploys cloud platforms to support and meet business needs. Identifies, recommends, and implements opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions. • Provides advanced level technical support and ensures reliable operation of cloud production. Troubleshoot software systems on multiple cloud computing platforms and system integration into existing cloud computing platforms. Maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of software and infrastructure platforms. • Develop technical standards. Tests and evaluates IT vendor products. Reviews configuration parameters to optimize system performance and maximize operation uptime • Elevates code into the development, test, and cloud production environments on schedule. Provides follow-up production support. Submits change control requests and documents. • Learns and understands client area business functions and requirements. Determines the appropriate technical tool to address the client's business needs. • Trains and mentors more junior staff on processes and releases. Troubleshoots and resolves complex issues elevated from staff. Provides guidance and consultation as required. Updates, writes, and maintains documentation for the department. • Administer system activities. Writes the technical portion of assigned deliverables. Performs systems analysis, including system requirements analysis and definition, and logical design. • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Minimum of five years related work experience. • Technical skills - Azure, Infostructure as a code, Bicep, Terrform • Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
