Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect - Data Platforms An elite high frequency trading firm is seeking a senior-level engineer with deep expertise in cloud infrastructure to lead the design, governance, and management of modern data platforms. This is a hands-on architecture role focused on building scalable, secure environments. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience with Snowflake and at least one major cloud provider (AWS or GCP required; Azure is optional). This role is central to shaping how data is stored, accessed, and governed across the organization, with a strong emphasis on platform reliability, performance, and compliance. Key Responsibilities • Architect and manage cloud-based data platforms with a focus on infrastructure, scalability, and security • Lead governance efforts around access control, cost optimization, and secure data sharing • Serve as the primary expert on Snowflake and multi-cloud infrastructure • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure platform consistency and reliability • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities • Support multi-tenant environments and regulated data workflows What We're Looking For • Senior-level experience in cloud infrastructure across AWS or GCP (Snowflake expertise is a must) • Strong background in platform architecture, governance, and operations. • Ability to design and implement secure, scalable systems across cloud environments • Familiarity with modern data workflows and infrastructure-as-code practices • Pragmatic, collaborative mindset with a focus on enabling teams through well-architected solutions This role must sit out of the firms Chicago or NYC office working on site 3 days per week.
