The Cloud/Infrastructure Architect is responsible for providing architecture leadership across multiple infrastructure teams. Work with both IT and Application/Development teams to define their architecture roadmap, solution architecture, detailed design, and hands-on engineering and development. Responsibilities may also include vendor relationship management, product evaluations, strategic platform planning, and ensuring alignment with overall DevOps and Cloud strategy. Position Responsibilities: • Working with Senior IT and Business Managers to define the strategic roadmap. • Working with Infrastructure and development teams supporting systems. • Collaborating with other members of the Enterprise Architecture teams on technologies and approaches. • Participating in Proof-of-Concept work to evaluate platforms and capabilities. • Leading a team through the initial stages of a program and assisting through the execution phase. Position Qualifications: • 8+ years of progressively more responsible work experience in a technical discipline. • Experience with Amazon Web Services, Cloud migration, DevOps, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, Organizational Change Management, and focus on business outcomes are desirable. • Proven experience in designing and engineering large scale enterprise solution in a technical engineering lead role, solution architecture role, application architecture role or enterprise architecture role. • Must have strong presentation, verbal, and written skills. • Cloud/Infrastructure performance analysis and tuning experience. • This position works at a local Kemper office with opportunity to work remote at times during the year Kemper is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
