Job Description

The Apple Services Engineering team is looking for an outstanding software engineer to integrate and test software to lead and orchestrate workloads across highly performant and energy efficient systems that will power the next generation of data centers. In this highly collaborative role, you will be at the center of multiple efforts to utilize hardware acceleration for machine learning and high performance computing workloads. You will partner with teams across Apple to adapt, tailor, and scale software on a novel compute platform and will help to build the foundation of our future cloud architecture. We are looking for someone with proven mastery building and leading scalable, resilient systems. You should have a strong mix of education and practical experience with a real passion for diving head first into challenging problems.

Description

You will be responsible for crafting, implementing, and executing test plans and test suites based on specification documents. You will be doing End to End system validation at scale for cloud based services and technologies. In this role, you will work very closely with the software development, client application development teams, and other cross functional teams to ensure quality is at highest level. Your focus be on following areas: Defining and running functional, stability, and performance tests for various aspects of HW/SW interactions Bring up and automate test scenarios for various client applications built on macOS/iOS SW Creating tools (apps, scripts, etc) to help with testing efforts First level triaging and analysis of issues found during testing Reporting of test results to various cross functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Swift, Go, Objective-C and Apple development/test tools (ATP, BATS, Device compute) is a definite plus!

Demonstrated innovative and creative thinking capabilities

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of software automation & validation experience



3+ years of experience working on cloud technologies including Kubernetes, Virtualization, and cloud compute

Have experience in designing, architecting, and developing cloud services and cloud infrastructure for compute is a plus

Experience with testing and using REST APIs and DevOps tools

Understanding of large scale distributed systems architecture and applications is a big plus

Experience in testing Cloud Platform that is developed on top of either private or public Cloud Infrastructure

Good coding experience in C/C++/Go/Swift or a any c type language

Strong development/programming experience in Python/Ansible/Kubernetes

Creative, collaborative, and product-focused

Excellent communication skills

B.S., M.S., in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
