Cloud Support Engineer (Infrastructure - JA)

We are hiring a Cloud Support Engineer to extend our multi-language team based in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan.
EPAM Systems provides 24/7 support services for users of a major cloud platform.
The support team is distributed across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer technical support issues by providing resolutions or recommendations related to IAAS products and services as part of a global 24x7 support organization
• Handle incident management, problem management, and change management; manage change requests and incident tickets for the remaining Infrastructure Teams
• Adhere to notification and escalation procedures and maintain communication standards with businesses involving operational issues

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience as a Systems Engineer or System Administrator
• Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX and Windows Server at the Administrator level
• Experience with shell scripting, cloud computing, virtualization and other cloud solutions
• Business-level English skills + native fluency in Japanese

Nice to have

• Experience in Kubernetes, Docker containers, computer networking (NAT, DNS, firewalls, basic routing, load balancing, etc.), and coding ability in one or more languages (Java, Python, C++, etc.)
