CMM Operator - PolyWorks

Independence Tooling is actively seeking a CMM Operator to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Report to the Independence Tooling Operations Manager.
• Ensure manufactured and purchased parts conform to engineering specifications and drawings using a Hexagon CMM.
• Mark up manufactured parts for finish machining operations as required by the manufacturing routing.
• Provide subassembly personnel with inspection data when adjustments are needed to meet final accuracy requirements.
• Verify that subassemblies meet the accuracy requirements specified by engineering specifications and drawings.
• Create inspection reports from gathered data and process Defective Work Tickets.
• Assist the Quality Manager in creating Quality Packages, including all deliverable documents for specific jobs/projects (Cert reports, First Article Inspections, Inspection Check Lists, R studies or R & R Studies, etc.).

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience operating a CMM machine
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills with customers, peers, and subordinates
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, or the ability to quickly learn them
• Willingness to work overtime as needed, with adaptability to fluctuating workloads

Preferred Qualifications

• Hexagon CMM experience
• Familiarity with building and doweling fixtures
• Quality experience, particularly with ISO9001 and/or AS9100, is preferred
• A background in aerospace, automotive, or defense
• Proficiency with API/Verisurf, PC-DMIS, Polyworks, Spatial Analyzer, or similar software
• Experience with CMM or White Light Scanning is a plus
